Color Classics 1934

Color Classics were a series of animated short subjects produced by Fleischer Studios for Paramount Pictures from 1934 to 1941 as a competitor to Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies. As the name implies, all of the shorts were made in color, with the first entry in the series, Poor Cinderella, being the first color cartoon produced by the Fleischer studio.

Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics is a Japanese animated anthology series by Nippon Animation. The episodes are adaptations of a variety of folk and fairy tales, and not limited to Grimm's Fairy Tales.

Family Classics

Family Classics is a Chicago television series which began in 1962 when Frazier Thomas was added to another program at WGN-TV. Thomas not only hosted classic films but also selected the titles and personally edited them to remove those scenes which he thought were not fit for family viewing. After Thomas' death in 1985, Roy Leonard took over the program. The series continued sporadically until its cancellation in 2000. A few props from the Family Classics set are on exhibit at Chicago's Museum of Broadcast Communications.

Yankees Classics

Yankees Classics is a program on the YES Network which features classic New York Yankees games. Each Yankees Classics episode is hosted by Yankees radio announcer John Sterling, who discusses the game's impact on Yankee history at the beginning and end of the telecast.

Hardwood Classics

Hardwood Classics is a television series that airs on NBA TV and features many of the greatest classic games recorded on videotape or film in National Basketball Association history. The show is produced by NBA Entertainment. The program normally airs Thursdays at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, but does air numerous times throughout the broadcast week.

NFL Classics 2016

NFL Classics is a series of videotaped rebroadcasts of National Football League games that air on the NFL Network. The show airs weekly during the offseason and also occasionally during the NFL season. As of the 2010, the series airs on Monday night while Super Bowl Classics airs on Friday night. The program, the first such series to air on any American television network, premiered on May 10, 2007 with a re-air of the Chicago Bears' Monday Night Football comeback victory over the Arizona Cardinals in 2006. NFL Classics is an extension of an earlier series called Super Bowl Classics, which showed full-length re-airs of some of the most memorable Super Bowl games. The NFL is the last United States-based major professional sports league to make such broadcasts available on TV. Previously, NFL Network and ESPN Classic had aired NFL's Greatest Games, 90-minute edited versions using footage from NFL Films. The other major leagues - MLB, NBA, NHL, and NASCAR - have all had games air on ESPN Classic. However, at this time, full-length MLB games are shown on Classic only occasionally, while NHL games are presently aired on NHL Network.

NASCAR Classics

NASCAR Classics was a series of NASCAR races that aired on Speed Channel. It aired from 2002 to 2004 and returned in 2009 before quietly disappearing off Speed Channel again in 2012. Matt Yocum was the host of the series before originally ending in 2004. The program, when it started mainly showed races from CBS that spans from 1979 to 2000. One of the races that they have shown were the Daytona 500 races from 1979 all the way to 2000. Also, they showed races from Talladega Superspeedway from the summer. The last race that was shown was the 2000 Pepsi 400 in 2004. In the spring of 2009, the series returned after a five year hiatus and started off with the 2006 Food City 500 at Bristol where Kurt Busch earned his first win with car owner Roger Penske and remembered when Jeff Gordon pushed Matt Kenseth after being spun out late in the race. Several months later, Gordon took out Kenseth at Chicagoland Speedway, which was shown later in 2009. Since its return, they have shown recent runnings of the weekend's race, which expands from 2003 to 2008's event. Speed now shows races from Fox, TNT, ESPN, ABC and NBC. On February 15, 2010, it featured the first non-cup race ever on NASCAR Classics which witness the first race of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season at Daytona.

Carson's Comedy Classics

Carson's Comedy Classics was a stripped 1/2 hour syndicated television show that was first released to U.S. television stations in 1983. The program was made from segments and sketches taken from the first 20 years of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Johnny Carson's full tenure on the program, which originally aired on the NBC Television Network, was from 1962 to 1992. The series is narrated by Ed McMahon, who, as a voiceover, introduces the program and each of the segments. When Carson would have his annual Tonight Show Anniversary Show in prime time on NBC, the anniversary shows were mainly flashback clip shows, and it was usually the same vintage sketches which got the showcase on the shows, but Carson's Comedy Classics show that there were many classic sketches and segments that have never been seen since the original airing that had at least still existed by 1982-1983, and many of the sketches and segments in Carson's Comedy Classics have never been released on DVD either. Another note about the anniversary shows is that the popularity of them were probably the catalyst which spearheaded the creation of Carson's Comedy Classics, which is essentially a classic clip show edited down to a half an hour.

Festival of Family Classics 1972

Festival of Family Classics was a Rankin/Bass animated series that originally aired between 1972 and 1973. It was re-aired 1 November 2005 on the Boomerang and 16 June 2011 Teletoon Retro network. Festival Of Family Classics is a series of television versions of famous folk tales and classic literature. 16 of the 18 stories were a half-hour long. The hour-long episodes were split into two-parters. Videos of them have been distributed by several companies, including Anchor Bay, Star Maker Video and EBM Group. 10 episodes have been released on DVD.

Great Comedy Classics

Great Comedy Classics is an Australian television programme compiled by the Seven Network, which screens episodes of classic British comedies. It is hosted by former Hey Hey It's Saturday comedian, Russell Gilbert. It was first broadcast in October 2006 and still runs.

Animated Hero Classics 1991

Animated Hero Classics is an educational Animated television series of programs co-produced by Nest Family Entertainment and Warner Bros. The series, geared toward elementary school aged children, includes twenty biographies of both female and male scientists, inventors, explorers, and social champions from around Europe, North America and the Middle East, including George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Florence Nightingale, Harriet Tubman, Joan of Arc, Benjamin Franklin, Helen Keller, Marco Polo, Marie Curie and Louis Pasteur. The Children's Television Act of 1990 required terrestrial television networks to devote time to Educational and Informative programming for children. Even though Warner Bros' cable networks were not directly affected by these requirements, these programs were debuted on their HBO network's Saturday morning children's block as a show of good faith that the network was committed to quality educational programming for children. The dramatic biographies were meticulously researched by the producers and written to engage both children and adults, providing an entertaining and accessible way to learn about the positive impact that these women and men have had on our world.

Condensed Classics with Dave Shaw

Condensed Classics was a television show that aired on the Canadian Channel Movieola. Although only 25 episodes were produced, the show was run and rerun on Movieola, and later on its sister station Silver Screen Classics. The program was aired as late as April 2013 on Silver Screen Classics, usually late on Saturday nights.

Classics: The Best of Sarah Brightman DVD

Classics: The Best of Sarah Brightman is a VHS of the PBS special of the same name that aired in 2002. A copy of the show was made available to the audience if they made a financial contribution to their local PBS station. The VHS is hosted and narrated by Laura Savini along with Sarah herself. The two women talk in various locations including Sarah's home in London, her studio in Germany, one of Mozart's apartments, and in several concert halls where some of Sarah's most famous performances occurred.
