Documentary based on the book by Erich Von Daniken concerning the ancient mysteries of the world, such as the pyramids of Egypt and Mexico, ancient cave drawings, the monuments of Easter Island, etc. and the fact that these things and modern civilization could have been influenced by extra-terrestrial visitations hundreds(or perhaps thousands) of years ago.
The broker Erich arrives with his prostitute at an apartment, already populated by three men. Abusive games, dancing and flirting occur. Things eventually degenerates completely.

This story revolves around a student of metaphysics, Charles Dexter Ward who befriends Erich Zann an ageing violinist who lives on the floor above him. Charles is fascinated and then drawn to Zann's sinister yet wonderful music that he hears late at night drifting down from above. He, of course, discovers more then he bargains for when he peers at what beckons beyond that strange curtained window in Zann's room.

Director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra from 1962 to 1969, maestro Erich Leinsdorf conducts filmed selections of Beethoven and Wagner, which were originally aired between October and December of 1965. In addition to "Dawn and Siegfried's Rhine Journey" and "Siegfried's Idyll" by Wagner, the orchestra performs Beethoven's Symphony no. 9, joined by the Harvard Glee Club, the Radcliffe Choral Society and the New England Conservatory Chorus.
