The show has been aired on Sky Sports 2 each Saturday morning of the football season since 1995 from 7:00am or 9:00am to noon originally and currently between 10:00am and 12:00pm. In early 2009, the 500th episode was broadcast. Although the show is filmed live from 2010 it has been broadcast on a momentary delay due to bad language and/or inappropriate content from certain guests. The show's current sponsor is Procter & Gamble through their Head & Shoulders brand. The show was previously sponsored by Frijj, a brand of milkshake, after Dairy Crest signed a £2 million sponsorship deal. Parts of the show have remained since the beginning, whilst new items have been introduced each season. In that respect, it is almost the same every week, the difference being new football footage and comedy skits. Every week sees a new group of celebrity guests, generally featuring at least one footballer who is free on the Saturday, and a mix of musicians, TV personalities, and other sportsmen.

It is shown on RTÉ Two on Monday evenings during the Irish football season, showing highlights of recent matches in Irish football's top division, the League of Ireland Premier Division. MNS is presented by RTÉ presenter Peter Collins, who is usually joined by two guests. Some of the guests to appear on the panel include League of Ireland XI manager Damien Richardson, and former Millwall striker Richard Sadlier. The first edition of Monday Night Soccer was screened on RTÉ Two at 8 pm on 10 March 2008. It was hosted by Tony O'Donoghue. RTÉ won the rights to host a League of Ireland highlights show from TV3 as part of an updated rights deal with the FAI. The show is broadcast at the earlier time of 7 pm, as opposed to the 11:30 pm Monday night slot occupied by its TV3 predecessor, eircom League Weekly, which was repeated Tuesdays at 5 pm. Since the beginning, MNS has gained notability by being broadcast at an earlier time to its predecessor. Due to the broadcasting at an earlier time, Monday Night Soccer has maintained a high rating. Along with Monday Night Soccer, RTÉ also airs live games on the day of the match, usually on a Friday night on Airtricity League Live, and shares live rights with Setanta Sports.
David Beckham's Soccer USA was a football highlights and general discussion show presented by Tim Lovejoy and produced and broadcast in the United Kingdom by Five. The show began following David Beckham's move to Los Angeles Galaxy, and Beckham often contributes to the show in the form of Interviews. Each week there was a special guest in the studio, usually a British sports personality, to whom Lovejoy chatted about their career and their views on Major League Soccer. A slightly different version of the show hosted by Natalie Pinkham and completely devoid of any content derived from British studio footage was broadcast in the USA on Fox Soccer Channel. Several regular features aside from MLS highlights were present in every show. One of these features was a "translation" of American commentary, called "How to speak U.S. Commentator". This provides a definition of slang used by commentators which differs from that used in Britain. Viewers were also invited to choose an MLS team to support and e-mail their choice to the show, from which polls were collected, determining the nation's favourite teams. At of the beginning of September, the show was cut to 30 minutes due to Channel 5 rescheduling their news.

It describes the pivotal roles of Brandi Chastain, Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, Kristine Lilly, and Joy Fawcett in the development of the team. These athletes also give interviews for the film. It was created by the "Peabody Award-winning creative team at HBO Sports" and " follows the 18-year journey of the U.S. women's soccer team from obscurity in the late '80s to its second Olympic gold match in 2004." The DVD of the film was released on 19 September 2007.
Soccer Central is a soccer news program broadcast by the Canadian sports channel Sportsnet. The program was first introduced on August 17, 2012 as Fox Soccer News; at the time, the program was shared with the U.S. channel Fox Soccer as a replacement for the Fox Soccer Report. With the launch of Fox Sports 1, Fox Soccer News was replaced in the United States by the in-house Fox Soccer Daily on August 19, 2013. Consequently, Fox Soccer News was re-branded as Soccer Central, and its Fox Sports-style presentation and graphics were replaced with that of Sportsnet. The show is aired as a half an hour show from Monday through Friday and an hour show on Sunday.

The show features Canadians Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest. Before August 2012, the show was known as Soccer Central, but was renamed because of the introduction of the show Soccer Central.
