In a time where post-truth news divides and conservative politics fails to lure in young voters, a extraordinary vote for world peace has dramatic consequences. Epic Fail is an avant-garde essay that questions how we perceive truth, information and politics, seen through the dual lenses of our real and virtual identities. Moved by the political events that shook 2016, the film is inspired by Jean Paul Sartre’s “Nausea”; or how we can develop visual embodiments of our emotions as a catharsis on how to deal with reality.
The media and government have ostensibly refrained from a sensible discussion on the student loan debt crisis. Much of the conversation has wrongly centered on keeping interest rates low in order to keep college affordable and accessible. However, this situation is much larger than just interest rates. Rates are nearly irrelevant when compared to the total student loan debt in this country and the effects it will have on our country and economy. Our aim is to create a feature documentary on the student loan debt crisis. The film will be an elucidation of the issue and an exploration of the three key players involved: the students, government, and the universities. Our goal is refocus the debate on solutions that can fix this crisis.

After storming Edinburgh, he's back... Winner of things. Triple J. ABCTV's Murray Foote. I wrote this show in a cave using only the light from the screen of a Nokia 3600. It took me 7 straight weeks and I only had one change of tracksuit pants. I maintained sustenance by sucking condensation off the walls and toasting moths over my phone. I need to recharge. FAIL

Fáilte Towers was an RTÉ reality TV show that was broadcast as a one off during August 2008. The concept of the show involves thirteen celebrities running a hotel for sixteen days and nights in order to win money for their designated charities. The show format was not repeated nor was it exported or resold. The name is a play on the BBC sitcom Fawlty Towers: and the word Fáilte meaning "welcome" in Irish. The hotel used in the series is Bellingham Castle in Castlebellingham, County Louth. The show is presented by Aidan Power and Baz Ashmawy and the judges are Bibi Baskin, Dublin restaurateur Derry Clarke and Castle Leslie hotelier Sammy Leslie. Each night the public are invited to vote for the contestant they would like to stay in the show. At the end of the show one of the contestants must "check out". The presenters tell each of the contestants individually if they are "safe" and if so are ordered "back to work". The three remaining contestants are then marched into the Oliver Plunkett Suite to face the judges, one of whom sends one of the contestants back to work before all three cast their votes on which of the remaining two must leave the show. The evicted celebrity is then interviewed by the presenters, with best bits shown as well. Created by Adare Productions, it was available to watch online on the RTÉ Player for up to two weeks after being broadcast. John Creedon won on 17 August.
